Cornell is starting to look beyond just theJun 27 2004Business - Management and Administration
Cornell is starting to look beyond just the SATs and GPAs, more so than before. They want you to prove to them through your essays, tough HS curriculum, extracurriculars and everything else that you will be a strong but unique addition to their University, that can hopefully contribute something to the intellectual environment. I had low SATs but a good GPA and rank and went early decision. I recommend ED for anyone who is sure they want to go here.

Basically you should get high SAT scores and good grades in high school. It seems like cornell is a pretty formula-driven school. Apply to the state-funded schools if you are worried about getting in, as tthey are easier to get accepted to.
